Welcome to the Research & Production Division of the American Samoa Department of Agriculture, where innovation and data-driven approaches are at the forefront of enhancing agricultural practices and productivity.

Our division is dedicated to managing and evaluating data to continually improve agricultural operations across various stages, from soil cultivation to the germination of seeds. We conduct comprehensive soil and residual testing, ensuring the quality and fertility of the land for optimal crop growth. Additionally, we oversee pesticides compliance for crop farmers and gardeners, promoting safe and sustainable agricultural practices.

A key aspect of our work is to maintain, monitor, record, and report on the production activities of local farmers within the territory. By closely tracking production metrics and trends, we identify areas for improvement and provide valuable insights to enhance agricultural efficiency and profitability.

In addition to our local initiatives, we also play a crucial role in monitoring and administering assigned federal grant projects for the department. Through effective project management and collaboration with stakeholders, we ensure the successful implementation of these projects, which contribute to the advancement of agriculture in American Samoa.

At the Research & Production Division, we are committed to driving innovation, fostering sustainable practices, and empowering local farmers to thrive in a dynamic agricultural landscape. Through our dedication to research, data analysis, and project management, we strive to support a vibrant and resilient agricultural sector that benefits both farmers and the community at large.
